Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026. Applies to markthediviner.co.uk and the booking system at markthediviner.co.uk/booking/.
The short version: I collect the personal details you give me when you request a reading or join my mailing list, I use them only to arrange and deliver that reading or send the updates you've asked for, and I never sell or pass them on to anyone for marketing purposes.
Who I am
Mark the Diviner is a trading name of MC Hubs Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17396454) with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
For anything in this policy, or to exercise any of the rights below, contact hello@markthediviner.co.uk.
What I collect, and why
When you request a reading through the booking system, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you give one), the reading type and format you've chosen, and any notes you add. I use this to check the slot against my diary, get back to you about your request, and deliver the reading itself. This is necessary to provide the service you've asked for.
When you join my mailing list, I collect your first name, your email address and any course you've told me you're interested in, so I can let you know about course and workshop dates and send occasional updates. This is based on your consent, given when you sign up, and you can withdraw it at any time: just reply to any email from me and say so, or email hello@markthediviner.co.uk, and I'll take you off the list. Mailing list details are stored in the same secure database on my website host's servers as booking records.
I don't use cookies for advertising or tracking, and this site runs no analytics. The booking system's admin area uses a single technical cookie to keep me logged in once I've signed in myself; this isn't set for visitors booking a reading and doesn't track you in any way.
How your booking is handled
When you submit a request, it's stored securely in a database on my website host's servers. If I approve your request, I'll email you a payment link hosted by Revolut, a payment provider regulated in its own right; I don't see or store your card details, Revolut handles that under its own privacy policy. Emails about your booking (confirmations, payment links, reminders) are sent through my website host's email service.
Who I share it with
I don't sell, rent or share your details with anyone for their own marketing. The only other parties who see any of your data are the ones who help me run the service itself:
- IONOS, who host this website, the booking database, and send the booking emails on my behalf.
- Revolut, who process payment once I've approved your request, and who only see what you enter directly into their checkout page.
I may also need to share information if required to by law, for example with HMRC for accounting purposes.
How long I keep it
I keep booking records for as long as needed to deliver the reading and deal with any query about it, and afterwards for as long as I'm required to keep financial records for tax purposes (currently up to six years). Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask me for a copy of the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected if it's wrong, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict how I use it, and to withdraw consent at any time (for the mailing list, simply unsubscribe). To use any of these, email hello@markthediviner.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you're welcome to raise it with me directly, and you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
If how I collect or use your data ever changes, I'll update this page and, where the change is significant, let mailing list subscribers know directly.
